On July 4 2024, Indonesia Securities Investor Protection Fund (Indonesia SIPF) attended the invitation to the 58th DSN-MUI Plenary Meeting in 2024 to discuss and establish a Fatwa regarding the Implementation of Sharia Principles in Protecting Investor Assets in the Indonesian capital market.
At the Plenary Meeting, DSN-MUI leaders were present, including Prof. Dr. K.H. Hasanudin, M.Ag. as Chairman of the DSN-MUI Daily Management Board (BPH), K.H. Sholahudin Al Aiyub, M.Sc. as Chair of the DSN-MUI Governing Body, and Prof. Dr. H. Jaih Mubarok as Secretary of BPH DSN-MUI. Meanwhile, from Indonesia SIPF was represented by Narotama Aryanto (President Director), Mariska Aritany Azis (Director), Bayu Priguna (Head of Strategic Management and Business Development), and other related teams.
This fatwa is an initiative of the Indonesian SIPF which is supported by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Self Regulatory Organization (SRO) to support the development of the sharia capital market in Indonesia and answer the needs of the people in Indonesia, which in this case is a country that has a very potential market for economic development. sharia-based, including sharia capital markets. So it is hoped that this fatwa will further increase public confidence in starting to invest in the Indonesian sharia capital market.
